NTPC has been conferred the 'RE DEVELOPER' and 'RE GENERATOR' of the year for Rajasthan in the PSU category during the Rajasthan Annual Solar Awards event on August 24, 2023, in Jaipur hosted by EQ Magazine.
The award was received by Shri Rajiv Agrawal and the Asset Management group in Jaipur and, was presented by Shri Om Prakash Kasera, IAS, Commissioner (Investment & NRIs), Bureau of Investment Promotion.
In Rajasthan, NTPC has an operational solar capacity of 1.7 GW. Additionally, it has 7 GW of solar projects in the pipeline, and an ambitious plan of 20 GW UMREPP is being developed. NTPC's largest operational solar project has a capacity of 400 MW at SKB while the Nokh project, currently under construction, is set to become the largest with a planned capacity of 735 MW once commissioned.
NTPC aims to achieve a 60 GW renewable energy capacity by 2032. As of the current date, the NTPC group has an operational RE capacity of 3.3 GW, with another 18 GW in the pipeline.
