    NTPC Simhadri Recieves ‘Safety Innovation Award’ 2019 by the Institute of Engineers, India, September 16, 2019: NTPC Simhadri was conferred with the ‘Safety Innovation Award’ 2019,by the Institute of Engineers, India.

    The accolade was received by the CGM, Simhadri Station, Shri.V.Sudharshan Babu and Shri. L. Kishore , AGM (Safety), Babu in New Delhi on 16th September, 2019.

    This has been awarded in respect to the innovative safety measures deployed at the station with paramount priority, achieving the ‘zero accident’ target.

    NTPC Talcher Thermal and Talcher Kaniha have been conferred with the much coveted Gold and Silver “Kalinga Safety Award” at the 8th Odisha State Safety Conclave recently at Bhubaneswar.Shri M.P.Sinha, Regional Executive Director (ER-II) NTPC alongwith Shri M.K.Singh , GGM Talcher Thermal and Shri Santosh James CGM(Talcher Kaniha )received these awards from the Hon'ble Governor of Odisha , Shri Ganeshi Lal on 2nd November,2018

    Talcher Thermal has been conferred with the prestigious Odisha State Energy Conservation award (Meritorious award) in IPPs categories on the eve of National Energy Conservation Day during a state level Function organized by Department of Energy, Odisha at Bhubaneswar celebrated on 14th December, 2018.

    The much coveted award was received from Shri Hemant Sharma, IAS, Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Govt., Dept. of Energy, GoO by Shri Anil Jana, General Manager (O&M) TTPS.

    NTPC Farakka, Talcher Thermal, Bongaigaon,Auraiya and Ramagundam Power Stations have been honored with Greentech Safety Gold Award 2017 for their remarkable efforts in the area of safety practices.These awards were given away by Shri S K Srivastav, Principal Secretary, Forestry, Govt of Assam & Shri Kamaleswar Sharan, CEO Greentech Foundation during the conference on Occupational Health and Safety held on 16th -17th Novermber,2018 at Guwahati.

    The awards were received by Shri Kunal Gupta,CGM from Farakka, Shri M K Singh,CGM from Talcher Thermal, Shri A.K Gupta from NTPC Auraiya, Shri A K Jain, GM (O&M) and Shri A V Narasimha Reddy, Manager (Safety) from NTPC-Ramagundam.

    Talcher Kaniha - Talcher Kaniha received the Prestigious National Safety Award from Govt. of India , New Delhi on 17.09.2018.It bagged the National Safety Award as winner under Scheme of Accident-Free Year for the year 2016.Shri A K Tripathy, GM(O&M) Talcher Kaniha received the award from Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Honourable Minister of State(Independent Charge) for Labour & Employment, Govt.of India.

    Jhannor - Shri B. L. Sharma, GM (Jhanor) received the National Safety Award from Union Minister of Labour & Empowerment on 17th Sept 2018 at Dr B R Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi. Jhanor has received two awards - Winner (Lowest Frequency) and Runner-up (Longest Accident free Days)

  • NTPC Faridabad awarded at the 7th FICCI Safety Systems Excellence Awards +Click for details

    Faridabad Gas Power Station is awarded with “Certificate of Appreciation for Good Practices in Safety Systems” at the 7th FICCI Safety Systems Excellence Awards for Industry 2018, on 26th September 2018, at function organised by FICCI at FICCI Federation House, New Delhi. Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Hon’ble Minister of State with Independent Charge, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India presented the awards. NTPC Faridabad is the only Power Station amongst the Government Sectors, in the Power Sector Category, to win this award.

  • Safety Performance Award to NTPC Kayamkulam +Click for details

    Kayamkulam has won the Runner-up award for outstanding Safety Performance for the year 2017 from the National Safety Council, Kerala Chapter in the category of Large Scale Industries. The award was presented by Justice Shri J.B. Koshi to Shri V Krishna Kumar, Head of the Project and Ms. Linda Skaria, Manager(Safety), Kayamkulam at a function organized at Cochin.

  • Kalinga Safety Award to NTPC Kaniha +Click for details

    NTPC Talcher Kaniha has been awarded with the prestigious Kalinga Safety Award (Gold) for the performance year 2016 during Odisha State Safety Conclave-2017 organised at Bhubaneswar on 10th November, 2017.

    The award was received from Dr. S.C. Jamir, Governor of Odisha by Shri Anil Jana, General Manager (Fuel Management ) & Shri S.S. Behera, AGM (Safety).

  • Safety Stewards Awarded in Ramagundam +Click for details

    Ramagundam Safety Department organised distribution of Awards and Certificates to Safety Steward Members for the period of October 2015 to September 2017. Shri D. K. Dubey, ED-Ramagundam along with others presented Awards and Certificates to 26 Safety Steward Members and appreciated their contribution in promoting safety at workplace on 16th October, 2017.

    On this occasion, newly selected 27 steward members were also introduced.

  • "National Safety Council of India" Safety Awards - 2013 +Click for details

    NSPCL, Rourkela has won the prestigious "National Safety Concil of India" Safety Awards 2013 for implementing effective management system & procedures and achieving good performance in operation, safety and Health for the assessment period of three years 2010-12. The award has been received by Shri B B Tripathi, BUH-NSPCL Rourkela from Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Hon'ble Union Minister, Mines, Steel and Labour & Employment, Government of India on 27th October, 2014.

  • Greentech Safety Award - 2014 +Click for details

    NTPC has been awarded Greentech Safety Award - 2014 in Platinum category (Top Most Honour) for its outstanding achievement in Occupational Health and Safety Management System. The award was presented at a function held in Hyderabad on 14th September, 2014. Shri H.M. Gangopadhyay, DGM (Safety) - CC and Shri A.K. Samanta, DGM (Simhadri) received the award on behalf of Corporate Centre. Four NTPC Stations - Simhadri, Singrauli, Talcher (Thermal) & Auraiya received Gold Award and Bongaigaon & Vindhyachal received award in Silver category on the occasion.

  • TELK receives Its First Safety Award From National Safety Council +Click for details

    National Safety Council, Kerala Chapter Awarded 2nd prize to TELK for Outstanding Safety Performance under the very Large Size Engineering Industries category for the year 2012. This is the first time that TELK has received this award for bringing a new awareness toward safety and formulating its first ever Safety Manual. Sri Arun Kumar Gupta, Managing Director, TELK received this award from Shri K Babu, Hon’ble Minister for Excise & Port, Government of Kerala in a ceremony held in Ernakulam on the occasion of National Safety Day , the 4th March 2013.

    NTPC, Auraiya has bagged the prestigious National Safety Award of Govt. of India for the performing year 2011 in two category first runner-up award for Lowest Average Frequency Rate and second runner-up award for Accident Free Year. The awards were presented by Hon’ble Union Minister for Labour & Employment, Govt. of India, Shri Shish Ram Ola to Shri R.K.Pal, General Manager of NTPC Auraiya on 18th September 2013 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

    Hon'ble Union Minister for Labour & Employment, Shri Mallikarjun Kharge conferred the awards on 27th September, 2010 at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.

    NTPC's Farakka STPP and Auraiya Gas power Station have been declared as Winners for National Safety Awards-2008.

    NTPC's Talcher Thermal Power Station under Scheme No.1 (Lowest Average Frequency Rate) and Rihand STPP have been declared as Runners-up for National Safety Awards for the year 2008.

    Since 1965, the Ministry of Labour & Employment has been granting Vishwakarma Rashtriya Puruskar and National Safety Awards to recognize performance of workers and management in promoting higher productivity, efficiency and safety.

    Director(HR), NTPC, Shri S.P. Singh received the award from Shri RakeshMehta, Chief Secretary, Govt. of NCT of Delhi on 28th December, 2010 in New Delhi.

    Five NTPC power stations – Talcher Thermal, Ramagundam, Simhadri, Kayamkulam and Dadri were awarded for Safety Innovations by the Institution of Engineers. Shri A.C. Chaturvedi, ED(R&R, Safety and CSR) along with representatives of all five projects was also present on the occasion.

    Shri Lalan Prasad, Executive Director, Talcher Kaniha received a Shield and a Certificate from Shri Puspendra Singhdeo, Minister of State, Labour & Employment of Orissa on 6th July, 2009 at Bhubaneswar.
