    NTPC Koldam received Environment Leadership Award (2nd place) 2019-20 on 5th June, 2020 for excellence in promotion of Environment Conservation and Sustainable Development.

    The award has been given by Government Himachal Pradesh.

    NTPC Ananthapuramu Solar Project received Best Safety Culture Award from National Safety Council. AP Chapter on 8/3/2019 on the occassion of Safety Week Celebrations. Sri. M. Balaji received the award from Ananthapuramu Joint Collerctor Sri. S. Dilli Rao at the function organised by Factories Department, Govt of AP.

    Dulanga CMP received an appreciation award (Special mention) on District Level World Forestry Day celebrations held on 21.03.2019. Sh. Bhumesh Chandra Behera (PD-DRDA, Sundargarh) and Dr. Arun Kumar Mishra (DFO Sundargarh) presented the award to Sh. C.R. Barik, GGM (Dulanga) who was joined by Sh. S.K. Ray, GM (Projects) and other DLCMP officials at Vikas Bhawan, Sundargarh.

    The award was presented to NTPC-DLCMP in appreciation of its efforts towards spreading awareness and for various initiatives in and around the district of Sundargarh towards Forest & Environment Protection and also in recognition of its initiatives towards incorporating eco-friendly technologies in its ICD activities

  • NTPC Ramagundam, Vindhaychal and Kawas Awarded +Click for details

    NTPC- Ramagundam, Vindhaychal and Kawas was recognized by CII as an “Excellent Energy Efficient Unit” on completion of the National Competition for Excellence in Energy Management held on 29-31 August 2018.The NTPC stations has been recognized as "Excellent Energy Efficient Unit" in Thermal and Gas Power Sector by CII- Hyderabad at 19th National Award for Excellence in Energy Management-2018 programme held at Hyderabad.

    Kawas -The award was presented to Shri S Balsubramanyan, AGM(BE), Shri A K Barlewar, AGM(MTP) & Shri Jayesh Behede, Dy. Manager (Operation)

    Vindhaychal -The Award was received by Shri S Banerjee, AGM (EEMG) and his team from the Secretary Power, Telegana. This is the second successive year that Vindhyachal was adjudged as one of the best for better Energy Management Practices and Energy Conservation.

    Ramagundam - Shri Manoj Kumar Jha, DGM, EEMG along with Shri Satish Chandra, Sr Manager, BMD and Shri Ashwin Raja, Manager, EEMG The awards were received the award from Shri Ajay Mishra, The awards were received the award from Shri Ajay Mishra, Special Chief Secretary, Department of Energy, Telangana Govt.

    NTPC Solapur STPP was adjudged as 'Best Stall in Power' in the 'Shining Maharashtra' Exhibition held from 26th to 28th Sept.2018 at Solapur. The Award was presented to NTPC by Shri Amar Sable, Hon'ble MP in the Closing Ceremony held at 'The Heritage', Solapur on 28.09.2018.

  • NTPC-NETRA bags FICCI Water Award +Click for details

    NTPC-NETRA, received FICCI Water Award (3rd position) at India Industry water conclave, on sustainable Water Management , under Technology Innovation category for development of low cost seawater desalination process using waste heat from flue gas at Simhadri Power plant. The award was presented by Shri U.P. Singh Secretary Ministry of water resources GOI today in New Delhi on November 1st,2018

    NTPC bagged the 2nd position at the BML Munjal Award 2018 for Sustained Excellence in Learning & Development after competing with Private and Public sector companies.

    The team was felicitated by Dr. Pranab Mukherjee, former President of India, at New Delhi on 19th April 2018.

  • NTPC Kawas bags top honor in Energy conservation +Click for details

    NTPC Kawas received the first prize in the Thermal Power Stations Sector category in the National Energy Conservation Award -2012 on 14th December, 2012. The Award was received by Shri Shankar Das, General Manager, Kawas from President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee at a function held in Vigyan Bhawan. Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, Minister of State for Power (Independent charge) was also present on the occasion.

  • Earthcare Award - 2012 to NTPC for Climate Change Initiatives +Click for details

    NTPC has been given the top honor for climate change initiatives by its Centre forPower Efficiency & Environmental Protection (CenPEEP) at the Times of India Earth Care Award 2012 in NewDelhi. The award was received by Shri N.N. Misra, Director (Operations) and Shri Pankaj Bhartiya, General Manager,CenPEEP NTPC Limited from Shri Smt. Jayanti Natrajan, Union Minister of Environment and Forest.

    Earth Care Awards recognises innovators and crosses borders to felicitate outstanding green warriors from SAARC Nations— Afghanistan,Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and India.

    On receiving the award Shri N.N. Misra, Director (operations) NTPC said that the award motivates us to further our green initiatives with thrust on low cost and sustainable technology as the top power generator of the country.

    CenPEEP is a symbol ofNTPC’s pro-active approach towards environmental protection. The Centre was establishedin collaboration with USAID to address climate change issues. CenPEEP hasdemonstrated technologies and practices aimed at efficiency improvement andGHG reduction from power sector. NTPC has also done exemplary work onenvironmental protection and CSR.

    The award has been adjudged by eminent jury comprising of Mr. M.S Swaminathan, Chairman, M S Swami NathanResearch Foundation and eminent persons from organizations like InternationalCrops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics; Centre for EnvironmentEducation; Nehru Science Centre, National Council of Science Museums; Centrefor Development Studies and Activities; Indasia Fund Advisors Private Limited; Ms.Shailaja Chandra, IAS (retd); UNEP and Mckinsey & Company

    During the evaluation process, thejury team also visited NTPC Ramagundam power station for field assessment andverification of systems and practices being implemented.

    Earth Care Awards 2012 is aleadership initiative which recognizes excellence of efforts made to reduceemissions and adapt to inevitable climate change. The Center for EnvironmentEducation (CEE) & Technology, Education, Research and Rehabilitation for theEnvironment (TERRE) are the Knowledge Partners and The Outreach Partner for the awards.

    NTPC's Talcher Thermal Power Station bagged the prestigious 'Commendation Certificate' for strong commitment under Sustainability Awards Scheme instituted by CII for sustainable performance of the station in the areas of Environment, Society and Economics.

  • 3rd Green Globe Foundation Awards +Click for details

    Green Globe Foundation is partnered by knowledge partners TERI and Wizcraft International Entertainment. Award ceremony took place on 2nd February, 2011 at the Taj Palace in New Delhi.

    NTPC’s Dadri Project has been conferred with the Green Globe Foundation Award in the Public Sector category with the aim of honouring the efforts of corporate, NGOs and individuals striving for an environment friendly India.
    The decision of the jury was based on innovation, social impact, cost implications and the sustainability of the action involved. The other companies awarded in PSU category are Gujarat Green Revolution Centre and Coal India.
