We encourage our employees to actively participate in community development projects. These take the form of activities undertaken by ‘EVOICE’ (Employee Voluntary Organizations for Initiatives in Community Development) and NGOs formed by NTPC employees at various stations which complement NTPC’s CSR initiatives. NTPC employees are contributing actively to 25 E-VOICE across the country.
Training programmes are conducted on CSR regularly for CSR nodal offers and EVOICE members. To internalise the CSR agenda, employees from all fields are encouraged to undergo these training programmes. Long duration General Management training programmes have a session for awareness of CSR for employees. Further, employees are also kept aware of the company’s CSR activities through the corporate web site, intranet, brochures, CSR calendars etc. Our experience has shown increased job level satisfaction and productivity as well as personal growth of those involved in these soul enriching activities.
